PY1: All you need to know

Have you ever wondered about the gigantic pyramids in the Old Port of Montreal?

Sunday June 9, 2019

If you are looking for something to do in Montreal this summer, PY1 is your go to! I was invited to experience the new project that was conceptualized by Guy Laliberté, co-founder of Le Cirque Du Soleil. Sadly, PY1 will be open for the summer only. I suggest that you don't wait to get your tickets, we all know how fast this beautiful season passes by in our city.

The PY1 Pyramid:

"A new touring venue specifically designed for the presentation of multi-sensory shows and immersive experiences." It has 32 laser projectors, 286 kinetic set pieces, 444 LED lighting fixtures, 744,000 Lumen screen, it is 81 feet high, and has 126 speakers.

Did you know that you can even rent the pyramid for your own event? A cocktail reception, a seated dinner or even an immersive show. How cool!!!

PY1 Show "Through the echoes":

The World premier was on June 1st, 2019. Imagined by Guy Laliberté and created by Gabriel Coutu-Dumont, Through the Echoes is a 60 minute multimedia show that transports you on a technological odyssey through space and time. Let yourself be immersed in vibrant music, visuals, and the voice of brilliant philosopher, the late Alan Watts.

It was such a unique experience, the story was moving, colorful and beyond extraordinary. You will need to experience it to have a better understanding.
