Opening event summary:

I had the pleasure to be invited as a blogger to the official opening of the restaurant: Copper branch Saint-Denis on Saturday August 24th, 2019. During the event, they were giving a few samples from their menu so that we can taste it while enjoying great conversations with the staff and few friends. Also we had the chance to taste the delicious cookies from MTL bakehouse.


The location is perfect and you won't have a hard time looking for parking on the street trust me. Also, the opening hours are advantageous since you have a flexibility of the time you would wanna go eat there.

Menu:

The restaurant offers burgers, sandwiches, power bowl salads, all-day breakfast, smoothies, desserts(zucchini brownies yes please!), organic coffees, organic teas, and many more. The items from the menu are never fried(which I absolutely love) and consist of mostly organic, non-GMO and naturally gluten-free ingredients. A strong emphasis has been placed on the inclusion of “power foods” such as chia seeds, mushrooms, quinoa and turmeric powder.


For the planet:

The company’s food, products, packaging, and restaurant interiors are focused on environmental responsibility. In addition, they are committed to working with Rainforest Trust, a global organization protecting our planet’s most endangered rainforest land and animals. In its partnership with this company, Copper Branch purchases actual land trusts around the globe that are preserved with local governments. The program is promoted in-store and through their Loyalty Program.



My choices from the menu during the event:


I highly recommend both choices, they are my favourites. For the Aztec Bowl I like diced tofu as my protein with brown rice, as for my second choice I keep it as is.


Aztec bowl:

with non-GMO basil olive oil dressing. Sweet potato, corn and non-GMO mango salsa, spiced non-GMO black beans, guacamole, vegan sour cream, lettuce, beets, carrot, broccoli, organic sprouted mung beans, pumpkin seeds, organic blue corn chips.




General Copper:

General Tao, broccoli, fresh avocado, organic brown rice, sesame seeds, sriracha coleslaw, Copper Branch General Copper sauce (organic gluten-free tamari, red wine vinegar, fennel seeds, star anise, red pepper, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, olive oil, tomato, spices)




Final summary:

I would like to thank the staff of Copper Branch Saint-Denis, they were extremely welcoming and very nice. I had a great time learning about the franchise, the menu, their mission, etc. It is definetly on my most favourite vegan restaurants list in Montreal.
